Welcome to SalesTrack Technologies Limited ("SalesTrack", "we", "us", or "our").
SalesTrack provides an offline-first Point of Sale (POS) and inventory operating system designed specifically for supermarkets,
pharmacies, fashion boutiques, restaurant counters, wholesale distribution depots, and retail chains across Nigeria.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, synchronize, and safeguard information when you interact with our:
- SalesTrack Windows Desktop Offline Engine: Installed directly on store till counters for barcode scanning, receipt printing, and cashier operations without internet.
- SalesTrack Owner Companion Mobile App: Real-time remote sales summaries, cashier void alerts, and profit analytics on iOS and Android.
- SalesTrack Central Cloud Dashboard: Multi-branch inventory consolidation, supplier purchase bills, debtor balances, and tenant configuration.
Our Ironclad Commitment:
SalesTrack does not sell, rent, monetize, or broker your store's sales records, wholesale purchase pricing, supplier margins, or customer contact books to competitors, distributors, or advertising third parties.

Unlike purely web-based POS platforms that crash or freeze when Nigerian fiber cables or telecom networks falter, SalesTrack is built on an isolated, local-first database engine.
- Local Till Autonomy: When your shop internet drops, the counter software continues ringing up sales, scanning barcodes, and firing 58mm/80mm thermal receipt printers without interruptions.
- Encrypted Delta Sync: As soon as the counter machine detects network connectivity (MTN, Airtel, Glo, Starlink, or local Wi-Fi), it packages pending transactions into an encrypted delta bundle and pushes it to your private cloud partition.
- Mathematical Conflict Resolution: Deterministic timestamp resolution prevents duplicated invoice IDs or incorrect multi-counter stock decrements.
You (the subscribing retail merchant) remain the exclusive owner of all commercial, financial, and operational records generated through your use of the SalesTrack Platform.
Data Processor Status:
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), SalesTrack operates strictly as a Data Processor on behalf of the Merchant (who serves as the Data Controller).
You retain the unalienable right to export your entire catalog, sales ledger, customer directory, and profit reports in standard CSV, Excel (XLSX), or PDF formats at any time without fees or administrative barriers.
We process your store data strictly for legitimate operational needs:
- Executing fast barcode lookups, inventory deductions, and receipt dispatch at physical tills.
- Compiling live sales figures, low-stock warnings, and net profit estimations on your Owner Mobile App.
- Protecting your business against employee pilferage through cashier shift audit logs and blind cash reconciliation.
- Providing technical troubleshooting, on-site hardware repairs, and database restoration services from our Kano engineer headquarters.
- Administering subscription licenses, renewal reminders in Naira (₦), and customer support inquiries.
When utilizing SalesTrack's automated WhatsApp digital receipt delivery or debtor payment notification feature, customer phone numbers and bill summaries are routed through official WhatsApp Business Cloud API gateways.
- Customer Consent: Store staff must only input customer numbers when the customer explicitly opts for a digital bill instead of or alongside a paper receipt.
- Zero Marketing Spam: SalesTrack never harvests customer telephone numbers for external spam, promotional blasts, or non-store advertising.
We maintain comprehensive technological, administrative, and physical safeguards:
- End-to-End Encryption in Transit: All communication between local till computers, owner mobile apps, and Cloud HQ is protected with TLS 1.3 cryptographic protocols.
- Cryptographic PIN Storage: Cashier staff PINs and store master passwords are stored using salted cryptographic one-way hashing (Bcrypt/Argon2). SalesTrack engineers cannot view your staff PINs in plaintext.
- Tenant Database Isolation: Each merchant's catalog, margin data, and sales receipts reside in logically isolated partitions to prevent cross-account leakage.
- Automated Off-Site Backups: Redundant encrypted cloud snapshots are maintained daily to facilitate fast recovery in case of shop generator surges or physical PC theft.
Under Nigerian privacy frameworks, you hold full legal rights over your commercial data:
- Right of Rectification: Edit, update, or correct product pricing, debtor accounts, and store details at any time.
- Data Portability: Export your full business records in open spreadsheet formats (CSV/Excel) on demand.
- Post-Subscription Retention Window: If you discontinue your subscription, your account enters a dormant 30-day export grace period during which you can download all past ledgers. Following 90 days, inactive partitions are permanently purged upon written request.
